Summary:

The Inventory Control Associate III is responsible for performing hands-on operations in the areas of shipping and receiving of GMP material, inspection, freeze down, storage, transferring, issuing and shipment of materials, drug substance, intermediates and conjugated materials governed by SOP’s. Works with QC to complete shipments of samples and coordination of shipments of materials, drug substance, intermediates and conjugated materials for QC.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Works in a team or independently on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving routine problems and making routine recommendations
  • May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other support personnel
  • Freeze down, inventory and assist with shipment of GMP bulk drug substance, intermediates and conjugated materials
  • Receipt, inspection, receipt into Oracle ERP system, quarantining of GMP raw materials and manufacturing aids for Manufacturing
  • Shipment of samples and coordination of shipments of materials, drug substance, intermediates and conjugated materials for QC according to IATA/DOT 49 CFR Regulations
  • Material requisition fulfillment and delivery of GMP raw materials and manufacturing aides to Manufacturing
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory reconciliation as required
  • Download temperature monitors as required by the business
  • Requires the incumbent to follow standard practices and procedures such as corporate and departmental SOPs and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Able to work flexible hours

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of GMP Materials Management or biotech/pharma Experience
  • Strong shipping skills. IATA/DOT49 CFR certification preferred
  • Strong communication, analytical ability, organization and writing skills Software aptitude
  • Flexibility to work in a team setting or independently
  • Excellent customer service skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business field (preferred)
  • IATA/DOT 49 Certification desired
  • Software aptitude with emphasis on MS Office products and ERP solutions

The hiring pay range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000 per year based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role. Other components of total compensation include a competitive equity grant at the time of hire (with additional annual grants, and grants upon promotion when applicable), and an annual bonus.
