The role provides an opportunity for the individual to learn about Seagen, Alliance Management, and Corporate Development (CD) functions.

The role of the Alliance Management Project Coordinator is to ensure proactive planning and smooth functioning of Alliance Management interactions with internal staff and external partners, which is critical to the execution of functional objectives and success of our collaborations. To be successful in this role you will need to be flexible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and provide exceptional support to the Alliance Management team. The ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time, track, while being proactive and resourceful is essential. You will be a positive and professional role model in the organization and possess strong decision-making skills, be forward-thinking, collaborative, and have a reputation for problem-solving and troubleshooting in an evolving business environment.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Provide governance meeting scheduling and support to the Alliance Management team
  • Maintain the Partnership Management tool used to manage and track relationships with our global research, development, and commercialization partners. This will include tracking milestones (both in and out), royalty payments, cost-share allocations, and annual report obligations
  • Maintain and manage the Alliance Management budget in collaboration with the Vice President, Alliance Management
  • Coordinate with other cross-functional support staff to plan, schedule, and manage the global governance calendars across all partners and collaborators
  • Define and implement governance scheduling best practices across collaborations such as:
    • Create and maintain master governance calendar
    • Create and maintain master governance rosters
    • Partner with administrative and project management teams of external partners to proactively schedule and refine governance meetings up to a year in advance
    • Coordinate the preparation and distribution of information and materials for governance meetings
    • Facilitate planning of meeting activities and events such as; selection of meeting venue, scheduling of AV services, and coordination of meeting attendance and logistics. Types of meetings include joint governance and alliance meetings with global pharmaceutical partners, and internal program team meetings
  • Provide general AM coordination and communication to the alliance team and senior stakeholder leadership
  • Communicate and support bi-weekly AM team meetings and All Company Meeting presentations

Required Qualifications:

  • 4-7 years in a project coordination, executive assistant, or related experience supporting fast-paced, life sciences-driven environment
  • Strong prioritization and time-management skills to enable delivery of completed projects on time and in scope while facing multiple distractions and interruptions
  • Apply knowledge of the business and integrate into daily tasks to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional governance scheduling, projects, and activities
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are required
  • Strong communication skills across all mediums (verbal, writing, etc.) in support of departmental communications
  • Comfortable with compiling presentations and presenting material to senior members of the internal team
  • Detail oriented, ability to pay close attention to detail when working with complex schedules or projects and react with an appropriate sense of urgency to situations or events that require a quick response or turnaround
  • Ability to independently problem-solve to quickly resolve issues to maintain business continuity
  • The ability to maintain a positive attitude with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities; must work well under pressure
  • Able to work successfully in a team environment by building effective working relationships internally and externally with all levels of employees with different working styles and perspectives
  • Have alignment with and promote the Mission, Vision, and Values of Seagen in all areas of responsibility
  • Highly proficient in MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Smartsheet, Office 365 and SharePoint Online
  • The desire to learn and grow with the business
  • Ability to travel domestically on a periodic basis if needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree and interest in biotechnology

The hiring pay range for this position is $65,000 to $84,700 per year based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role. Other components of total compensation include a competitive equity grant at the time of hire (with additional annual grants, and grants upon promotion when applicable), and an annual bonus.
