Company Description

Zymeworks is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery, development and commercialization of next-generation bispecific and multifunctional biotherapeutics, initially focused on the treatment of cancer. Zymeworks’ suite of complementary therapeutic platforms and its fully-integrated drug development engine provide the flexibility and compatibility to precisely engineer and develop highly-differentiated product candidates.

Zymeworks is seeking a highly-motivated professional who is looking to grow their career with our company.

This position will report to the and will be based in our offices in Vancouver, BC.

As a condition of employment, Zymeworks requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and provide verification of such.

Key Responsibilities

Operational and Change Management

  • Manages Tier 2, 3 Enterprise Applications support, expedient prioritization and resolution of issues related to system deficiencies.
  • Performs recurrence checks and acts on the results, driving organization change where appropriate.
  • Uses organizational awareness to identify and engage key stakeholders within the organization when addressing systems defects and exploring solutions.
  • Develops and maintains stakeholder relationships throughout the organization.
  • Ensures Enterprise Application team is positioned to provide quality analysis and technical support to system users when needed.

Project work and System Lifecycle Management

  • Clarifies business needs and elicits requirements to facilitate the formulation of solutions.
  • Leads/conducts process analysis and/or feasibility studies with end users, to identify and evaluate functional and non-functional requirements for the procurement, alignment, and implementation of new and existing enterprise application solutions.
  • Authors system development lifecycle documentation, including but not limited to validation plans IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and summary reports, trace matrix, URS and test scripts.
  • Collaborates with users and IT stakeholders to define, implement, and document changes in user processes, testing and implementation plans, test executions and detailed documentation of application setup and usage.
  • Performs various roles on projects when needed including, but not limited to, project manager, leading and planning integration and system test cycles, functional analyst or as a User Acceptance Test Coordinator.
  • Reviews user and business-related documentation to ensure compliance with IT policies and best practices, ITCS, and CSV policies and procedures.

Strategic Planning and Corporate Values

  • Supports line manger’s delivery of the strategic and operation plan to achieve the R&D, Clinical and Commercial business goals by fostering innovation, assisting in prioritizing initiatives and evolution of solutions.
  • Actively works to cultivate an environment of effective and collaborative working relationships amongst employees, management, and external vendors.

Qualifications and Education

  • Minimum of 7 years related experience or an equivalent of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience within Bio Pharmaceutical industry or equivalent.
  • Project Management, Organizational Change Management, Process Modelling (BPMN) certifications preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst / Functional Analyst skill set.
  • Experience in supporting software in regulated environments and knowledge of computer systems validation process and procedures.
  • Experience with a variety of application delivery models such as SaaS, PaaS and iPaaS.
  • Collaborative communication skills with the ability to translating technical subjects or jargon into language that employees at every level of the company can understand.
  • Analytical mind, enjoy solving problems, and have an ability to perform deep thoughtful analysis to discover solutions.
  • Proven interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
  • Track record in achieving operational excellence where personal drive, high quality work, and getting things done are critical success factors.
  • Maintains an awareness of new technologies, trends, and developments in order to improve service and create efficiencies within the department. Keeps up to date with relevant professional literature and participates in seminars and training workshops as required.
  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality on matters that require discretion.
  • Advanced computer skills (e.g., Office365, Lucidchart, JIRA, BI Tools).
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems, Document Management Systems, eTMFs, Digital Workflow Systems, Learning Management Systems, RIM, CRM, (e.g., Veeva Vaults, ComplianceWire, Service Now, SharepointOnline).
