Summary

The Sr. Manager, Distribution & Logistics will be responsible for the day-to-day ownership of activities supporting the distribution operations of current and future products, including ensuring daily operations adhere to established company policies and procedures, as well as guidance from Legal and Compliance.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for daily distribution activities including monitoring all daily ordering activity, approval of new accounts, large order approval, and shipping related issues with distribution partner(s).
  • Responsible for ensuring daily distribution operations adhere to established company policies and procedures including Specialty Distribution, Return Goods and Drug Replacement
  • Uphold company legal and compliance guidance at all levels in the areas of access, cost, distribution, and reimbursement. Escalate complex issues appropriately to ensure leadership awareness and alignment with identified resolutions
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Specialty Pharmacy partners to identify appropriate distribution network, and coordinate data management for distribution of current and future products
  • Monitor channel partner’s performance of services against contracted deliverables and key performance indicators
  • Present performance metrics at Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with 3PL and distribution partners
  • Engage with distribution partners as necessary regarding execution of Distribution Agreements and product purchasing
  • Manage Class of Trade files, including evaluation of new customer requests and assignment of appropriate class of trade
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders including Supply Chain, Finance, 340B Team, Managed Markets, Reimbursement, Marketing, IT, Sales and Sales Operations to identify new distribution strategies, tactics, and areas of potential opportunity. High visibility with Senior Leadership.
  • Communicate corporate notifications regarding pricing and returned good policy updates in a timely manner to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively maintain current knowledge of industry trends in the areas of trade, distribution, Specialty Pharmacy, reimbursement, and patient services. Identify necessary changes to the Seagen model based on industry development, as well as identify opportunities for improved operations.
  • Ability to navigate complex situations and reach a resolution.
  • Accountable for distribution of a $1 Billion portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Demonstrated account management and customer service skills experience
  • Current knowledge of drug distribution channels and Specialty Pharmacy industry
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding results and/or other quantitative targets, as well as qualitative goals
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to utilize technology to manage daily activities
  • Strong technical knowledge including ability to work in Excel, Word and PowerPoint and other like resources necessary to complete job duties
  • Excellent communication, written and verbal skills
  • Willingness to embrace new challenges in a rapidly changing healthcare environment
  • Ability to build and maintain productive professional relationships with a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders, including effectively navigating sensitive conversations, as necessary
  • Some travel will be required to engage with partners and ensure the effective operation of distribution networks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Oncology experience preferred
  • Wholesaler/Distribution experience a plus
  • Specialty Pharmacy experience a plus
