Summary:

The Associate Manager, Project Management Medical Affairs is responsible for implementing and maintaining the processes and systems for managing the Medical Affairs strategic plans for assigned teams and projects. This role also manages the operational execution for advisory boards, facilitating appropriate approvals with Compliance and key stakeholders, and tracking all required documentation. This position reports to the Director for Medical Affairs Project Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tools for tracking and communication of Medical Affairs plans, tactics and budgets (e.g. timelines, dashboards, slide decks).
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs functional leads to identify key deliverables, track inter-dependencies, ensure cross-functional alignment and accountability.
  • Work cross-functionally to represent Medical Affairs in corporate initiatives for timeline and milestone tracking.
  • Manage content management systems (e.g. Sharepoint Online) as repository for Medical Affairs program documentation and collaboration.
  • Work with medical directors for the operational execution of advisory boards, including interfacing with Compliance and outside vendors.
  • Assist Director of MA Project Management in a variety of cross-functional initiatives (e.g. meeting planning, budgeting, ad hoc projects, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Project or Program Management.
  • Proficient understanding or knowledge of Project Management software (e.g. Smartsheets, Planisware, PowerBI).
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written); exhibits professional maturity, confidence and competence.
  • Ability to consider a problem abstractly and develop an approach that meets Medical Affairs strategic goals.
  • Proficient understanding of enterprise content management systems is desirable.
  • Experience in the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, or other Healthcare-related field highly preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is desirable.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
