Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Potency Assay development team. The Primary role of Lab Technician III is to work, under moderate supervision, in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment to provide lab support to a team of Research Associates and Scientists in the Potency Assay department. The Lab Technician III independently develops routine equipment maintenance schedules, is responsible for laboratory supply ordering and organization, reagent preparation and maintaining the analytical equipment and supplies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strong written and verbal communication with a strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and capable of multitasking
  • Function independently as well as actively participate in team responsibilities
  • Able to take direction and then manage semi-routine tasks independently
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, contracts, and analytical instruments, including coordination and communication with laboratory staff, external vendors, and the Site Services Department
  • Maintain a clean, organized and fully stocked laboratory
  • Responsible for basic reagent preparation and sub-aliquoting of bulk materials
  • Assess and propose ways to increase ordering/inventory efficiency for specific items, increasing understanding of usage
  • General lab cleanup of common areas
  • Organize and maintain spare parts and tools
  • Lab supplies ordering for non-routine items
  • Lab escort for vendor and Seagen personnel
  • May perform assays to support sample testing, assay qualifications and with supervision, data analysis and interpretation.
  • Present data at group meetings

Education and experience:

  • Ideally, the successful candidate should have an Associates or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 1-year of college science (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience working in or managing a laboratory environment
