Summary
The Associate Director will play a central role in management and reporting of consolidated revenues across Seagen’s growing portfolio and geographical footprint.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Lead preparation for monthly and quarterly consolidated global revenue development reviews
- Develop materials for and messaging on global revenue performance working with key partners in Finance and Commercial
- Facilitate timely inputs from other business partners as required, such as Europe/International Finance and Commercial Forecasting, including short-term and long-term price, volume, and Fx assumptions
- Synthesize short-term and long-term consolidated US revenue forecasts working closely with Forecasting team within Commercial, creating concise and well-structured storyboards and articulating clear risks/opportunities
- Report on key financial performance metrics such as actual QTD/YTD revenue, QoQ/YoY growth, price/volume growth, plan vs. actual
- Act as authoritative source on history of revenue development across Finance and Commercial teams
- Work closely with Financial Systems and IT teams for system implementation and improvements
- Leverage expertise of cross-functional groups to proactively recommend and implement systems and process improvements
- Ensure easy-to-digest representation of complex data to promote insightful organizational discussions among senior leaders of Finance and Commercial organizations
- Manage development of short-term and long-term forecasts of gross-to-net deductions, making use of historical analyses at both combined and itemized levels
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree required; major in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
- Minimum seven years of professional experience with increasing responsibility in accounting, finance, forecasting, or other analytically-oriented field
- Minimum of two years in a role directly interacting with senior management; experience demonstrating the understanding of how senior leaders think and make decisions, speak their language and respond to their needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience, coupled with understanding of pharmaceutical development and commercialization process, as well as industry competitive dynamics
- Graduate degree or MBA with concentration in Finance or Accounting
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse teams across organizational lines and structures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Outstanding modeling skills and command of Excel
- Interest and aptitude to improve systems and business processes
